I lost my job and I am a XXXX XXXX. I got a title loan not knowing the actual terms because I was just told I was approved and to sign. Over a year and a half later.. I have paid over {$20000.00} on loan and still owe them half of that? I called the local branch and asked if they would settle because I could t afford to pay the monthly requested amount that was going just towards interest, the lady at this branch said she would request to see if she could get the car settled with a certain amount and if so she will let me know. Fast forward 4 months later I asked her again after being harassed every month if I could please settle and she then informed me that the settlement was approved back in XXXX but I was never told?? So again I asked in XXXX if they will please settle, so I called several times to ask if they would let me settle and she tells me their systems at Titlemax was being updated so she didn't know? Then here is XXXX and the day my payment is due they tell me Owe your settlement went through and you owe {$2500.00} today and then {$2500.00} next month for it to be settled? The day the payment is due she tells me this.. so I am trying to settle again with them and finally called corporate office and they never knew about a settlement because the store never reported it and I never received anything in written?
