Hello, On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased an XXXX for {$2500.00}. I used the American Express XXXX It feature to pay off as I go. However, on XX/XX/XXXX, I canceled the airbnb and received a credit. When I logged in to check my balance, my XXXX for the airbnb was still active- and my statement balance did not reflect the credit that I had received for the XXXX. My statement balance ( which included the XXXX balance ) was {$2500.00} too high. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Amex to cancel the XXXX and receive an adjustment for my statement balance. The Amex customer representative attempted to adjust my statement balance by issuing a credit ( reflected as a credit on XX/XX/XXXX, " XPL CR ... " ). However, the adjustment was done incorrectly because the representative also applied a charge ( reflected as charges from Amex on XX/XX/XXXX, starting XXXX XXXX XXXX... ). So effectively, the credit canceled out the debit, and my statement balance was never properly adjusted to reflect the XXXX cancellation. Now, I have contacted Amex multiple additional times and they refuse to properly adjust my statement balance to reflect the canceled XXXX. I am attaching screenshots of my conversations with Amex. Apologies, they are not ordered chronologically ( I have already invested XXXX hours into these conversations and have a very busy job as an attorney and don't have time to invest more time- but can provide more documentation if you need ). The Amex XXXX It feature needs to be investigated. Consumers - please beware of using any Plan It programs through Amex. Typically, I would just pay this kind of charge to save myself the headache and time, but I can not afford a {$2500.00} additional charge.
