I am moving out of my apartment and multiple apartment owners/leasing companies/individuals are requesting my credit score be XXXX to be considered. I ran my credit reports from the XXXX site for all three bureaus and discovered that Experian had a wrong social security number on my report. I reported this by phone on XX/XX/2024 because I was unable to report it when it was discovered on XX/XX/2024 because the company was closed for the weekend. That report filed was XXXX I received a notification by email that it was corrected but I called to discuss it with a person by phone. I ended up speaking with a male agent and explained the that my social security number was wrong and this didn't make sense because I was able to obtain credit, Experian was reporting accurate closed accounts and active current accounts ( with the exception of XXXX which I am filing a complaint about ) and that it did not make sense that I could log into Experian using my correct social ending in XXXX, yet the personal information display something else. I was about to explain it must be someone in house who added someone's social and was obtaining good credit off my score, but he cut me off asking if the accounts were correct and said he was filing a dispute when I didn't tell him to. I would like to file a complaint for the following matters : 1. I would like to complain that the fact that my credit report with Experian only ( no other credit bureau ) showed a social that appeared as XXXX was listed as the primary ssn in my account when it should have been XXXX. 2. The agent claimed a vendor running my credit could have altered their entry of my social which would alter it on the report. This is a fradulent statement and does not make sense. That would mean any vendor who mistypes a digit is changing your PII which they should not have access to or be able to change at all. If a vendor did change my ssn on my Experian report they are in violation of 15 USC 6802, 15 USC 6805 and 15 USC 6508. 3. It is clear to me an employee added this social into the record to help bolster their credit, a friends, family member or someone who paid them off for an illegal alien situation. Because I could still log in on Experian.com and create an account using my correct ssn ending in XXXX, but someone else 's was the prevailing ssn. Experian has a responsibility to report and question inaccurate information per 15 USC 6508. 4. My credit score can not be accurate if someone else has used their XXXX number to obtain credit which is a violation of 15 USC 6508 5. I have experienced high interest rates and unfavorable terms on a personal loans I have taken out in the last year based on incorrect reporting. My terms would have been better if my credit score was accurate.
