I am a victim of identity theft and Experian has ignored my demands per my federal consumer rights to remove incorrect information from my credit report. I have tried to dispute this with Experian twice now with no avail. I sent them an identity theft report from the XXXX XXXX XXXX included with a letter to remove fraudulent information on my credit report on XX/XX/24. They did not update my credit file within 5 business days as being under dispute, violating 15 U.S. Code 1681i. Then a week later, I filed the same dispute within their online dispute center on ExperianXXXX, and they still failed to remove the fraudulent XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX account from my credit report. I decided to try again by enforcing my consumer rights under 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) which states consumer information must be reporting correctly across all 3 CRAs, which it is not currently, given that I have this fraudulent account on my credit report. I mailed this dispute letter on XX/XX/24 and followed up with the same information submitted on their online dispute portal a few days later. They " conducted an investigation '' then closed the dispute and refused to remove the fraudulent XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX account from my report, once again.
