XX/XX/XXXX I deposited a cashier 's check by mobile deposit that someone sent me through the mail. They placed a hold on the check.Then the account was sent to the fraud department because it was found that the check was not real.I thought the check was real.They placed an exceptions hold on the check.The check was returned which made my account negative. It was posted and cleared.The fraud department blocked the account pending their investigation.I received a letter from the fraud department that my account will be closed.I get that.My complaint is that Truist is holding my money.I can not get my money out because I was told they were still investigating.The check has been returned, it is determined that the account is going to be closed.I get that they want to take precautions and cover every nook and cranny before they release my money.That is my money and I want my money.Truist does not have a right to hold my money.They say quote on quote, until the analyst get done to see what they say.I say they have no right to hold my money.That is my money.
