I had a credit account with another company that was sold to Concora which was 6 months into a 12 month no interest promotion ( leaving 6 months left with no interest ). I never received any documentation about the amount transferred ; instead, when I was first able to access my account through Concora, the balance was about {$400.00} higher than it should have been. When I contacted Concora I was told that they had applied the interest from the past 6 months to the account, but if I paid off the original balance within the 12 month period of the promotion then the added interest would be removed. I asked for an account statement showing the amount of interest applied and never received that, and there was nothing in my statements to indicate that anything had been added to the balance. They continued to add interest for the next two months and I ultimately paid off the original balance and am waiting for verification that the account is closed. If I hadnt kept detailed notes of my accounts I would not have had any way of knowing how much I actually owed, and Concora was unwilling to share that information. I am filing a complaint because this is clearly a deliberate attempt to mislead and steal from customers.
