I was contacted by text message ; the sender came through as XXXX. No number was attached with contact. I thought nothing of it because I was expecting a package from XXXX that week, but tor some reason that message had a link with it, and it wanted me to XXXX the link because my package had gotten lost and wanted me to update my information. Once I clicked the link, I knew it was a scam, but I didn't think my personal information was leaked. couple days later I gotten alert on my phone saying that I should change all my passwords due to security alert. I had a lot of important itlformation on my phone like, my ID, passport social security number. within these past XXXX years as I now started understanding credit and looking at my credit report, I noticed plenty of unauthorized hard inquires on my report and collection accounts that are not mine.
