This is from a previous complaint against a debt collection agency. I used to be a member of XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have asked them to cancel my membership and they told me they did. Later I was getting calls from XXXX XXXX saying that I owe membership dues, or that I owe them XXXX dollars. That was months after I discontinued my membership with the gym. Then they said to cancel you had to do it in writing, and unless it's done in writing it's not canceled. But I did call and they told me it was canceled. Also I was not in a good health at the time when I called and canceled, but I did speak to someone who said it's all done. I have also provided evidence where I emailed them several times about this. Now their collection agency " Aldous Associates '' is what they call themselves, keeps calling without leaving a message. And twice hung up on me when I was trying to find out from them what is going on. Their representative claims that they sent me a notice in the mail about their decision, and I didn't receive anything. They didn't include the apartment number in the address. Then their representative threatened that they will take a legal actions against me, and that I better pay the XXXX dollars to avoid further legal action. I will actually take a legal action against this collection agency if they continue their harassment. I have contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX several times, through email, to resolve the issue. I have a proof of that, which I provided in the last complaint I filed with the consumer protection agency. If this doesn't stop here I will get a legal counsel.
