I opened a Platinum Secured account ending in XXXX in order to build my credit score. I opened with a minimum amount at first and deposited more money electronically so that my credit limit will be at {$500.00}. This is a Secured Account. The representative I spoke with at the time of opening this account- around XX/XX/XXXX- said that due to no credit history at all, whatever my security deposit amount will be my credit limit. I thought that was fair and understandable. That's why I added more money to increase my secured credit card limit. Of which, it did to {$500.00}. My daughter helped me with the additional deposits and these funds came from her account. My daughter 's account has been closed since XXXX. We have closed this Platinum Secured account ending in XXXX in XXXX and have yet received the Secured deposit. Upon calling today, XX/XX/XXXX, Capital One said that they will only return {$99.00} since I can not produce the statements that I deposited more money to increase my credit limit. Capital One refusing to return my security deposits. Please help.
