My name is XXXX XXXX and I applied for XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/year>. This is an online website and I was talking to a representative on the phone who guided me through the process of ordering the service. There was no contract involved. He did not mention that the monthly payments would go through a company called Affirm, a lending agency, which I did not know at that time. He did not say there was no cancellation or refund once your order is approved. After I signed up and went to a friends house, I decided to cancel. I was told that the policy is that there are no cancellations or refunds. But, since this was just a few hours later, that I probably would be able to get a cancellation. He gave me an email to email my request for cancellation. I emailed my cancellation request the same day. I was sent a refund ticket the next morning and the email said it might take 10-15 days to get a response. The response was given on XX/XX/XXXX. The response was that they would not give me a cancellation according to their policy. I have not received any service for tutoring. I don't want tutoring from them. So, I contacted Affirm. They are charging {$1900.00}. I explained what happened with the online tutoring service. On their website there is no mention that Affirm is a lending agency, and I did not know that Affirm was a lender until after I was approved, and then they mentioned a loan was confirmed for me. I was taken by surprise. Affirms response was that they will follow the policy of the online tutoring service. So, they declined to intervene on my behalf. Now they want me to pay for a product or service I tried to cancel even though I have not received any service or product from the online tutoring service.
