I am trying to close two accounts that my dad, XXXX XXXX XXXX, had in a Trust, he passed away XXXX, XXXX. The beginning of XXXX I attempted to close these accounts but the person at the bank said my son would have to come to the bank and sign the paper. I explained to her that he lives in Connecticut and to p, ease send him the form to be signed and notarized. She flay out refused and said he must be there in person. There are no branches in Connecticut. Then she said they sent the papers to their attorneys and they want a letter of I opinion of who is going to take over the Trust and also a court order stating who is the executor of the Trust. The papers I ache attached clearly state all that. They are legal documents which stated that my and my son are the executors of this trust. I notified my attorney and she said they are being ridiculous and it would cost me more than what is in the account. We are not ever going to probate as there is nothing to probate. I have attached all the files for you to see. In addition, they are now charging me {$12.00} a month to maintain the account they won't let me close. It is the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The person at the bank I am dealing with is XXXX XXXX ( not too sure of the last name ) XXXX The bank is Truist Bank and the branch is XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TN XXXX Please help!
