I was attempting to purchase a vehicle and I realized I had damages on my credit report. I reached out to XXXX, Experian and XXXX regarding the charged off XXXX XXXX & XXXX accounts listed and the XXXX hard inquires, but I had no luck. I was told by a representative, that companies have the right to access my reports, as long as they possess my information. That is FALSE. According to the 15 U.S. Code 1681- Congressional findings and statement of purpose law, It is the purpose of this subchapter to require that consumer reporting agencies adopt reasonable procedures for meeting the needs of commerce for consumer credit, personnel, insurance, and other information in a manner which is fair and equitable to the consumer, with regard to the confidentiality, accuracy, relevancy, and proper utilization of such information in accordance with the requirements of this subchapter. The XXXX credit bureaus are not recording my information accurately, which is not fair and not equitable to me. There should not be any damages on my report. That is a defamation of character.
