Around XXXX I was with a group of friends and XXXX of the people in the group is a known scammer. This person was able to access my XXXX account as well as multiple other people. They filed a police report as there was enough to suggest that he was the person who did it. I explained to the bank I never granted permission to access my debit card and XXXX account. I told them I never make large purchases or anything for a similar amount outside of my rent payments. Obviously it would be seen as a suspicious transaction. I also explained that XXXX virtually has no verification process and as long as someone gets your number and password they can access your account plus banking details. I got my claim denied around XXXX and I immediately appealed provided my same account of what happened plus additional details they asked for and they denied it again and they will not provide me a detailed explanation of the finding of facts. They are attempting to hold me liable for a transaction I never made and told them it was 100 % unauthorized yet they refused to help me as a customer. It id not my fault my information was accessed and money was stolen
