I obtained a personal credit card with a {$300.00} limit from Capital One and after I was late on a payment, this financial institution charged me a {$25.00} late fee on top of the minimum payment which was {$25.00} as well. After this occured, I immediately stopped using this credit card and destroyed it to prevent the temptation in using it further. Subsequently, I have received continuous harassing emails in regard to collections for this account. For a financial institution to charge 100 % on late fees on top of the minimum balance is highway robbery for the lack of a better term.
