This company fraudulently sued me for old credit card debt in the wrong jurisdiction. They were sending mail and legal documents to an address that is not mine, but that of my bosses HOME address in OREGON. She " returned to sender '' everything, because I do not live there. XX/XX/XXXX I received an entry of judgement from the XXXX XXXX court house. My boss brought me the letter because she thought it was important. It was an entry of judgement and a lien put on my property because I didn't respond to the lawsuit. This company didn't even give me a fighting chance to respond, not only that, they sued me in the wrong jurisdiction. I live in Idaho, the lawsuit went through Oregon. I immediately called the courthouse, they gave me the phone number to the " lawyer '' and I called. This is a call center. I spoke with a XXXX the first time I called. He couldn't tell me why they were sending communications to an address that is not mine. I asked him several times, couldn't get an answer. I called back a second time that day and spoke with XXXX. She informed me the suit was XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXXXXXX XXXX Couldn't give me dates on when debt was from. I asked for a settlement offer, to get this taken care of because these people now have a judgement wrongfully against me and I don't have money for a lawyer to fight this. Settlement offer is for XXXX. I called today, XX/XX/2024, to pay the settlement in full. I spoke with XXXX again. He took my routing and account information for payment in the amount of XXXX. He could not give me a confirmation number but said a letter would be sent to me. I then asked him when the court would receive satisfaction of judgement and the release of lien, he couldn't answer that with confidence, either. These people knowingly sent correspondence to a wrong address just so they could take it to court and win a judgement against me because they knew I wouldn't receive it. This is fraud!! They gave me no fighting chance to even respond to anything!
