I opened the account with SoFi ( worst decision I have ever made ) on XX/XX/XXXX and the last direct deposit was made XX/XX/XXXX. I have never taken money out of the account. They froze my account in XX/XX/XXXX stating that my account was flagged for suspicious activity. I called them immediately to request that they unfreeze my account, and the individual I spoke to said it would unfreeze within a week of investigating the activity. I called them several months later on XX/XX/XXXX to see why my account was still frozen. The woman I spoke with said they had no way to directly identify the problem as the department that monitors accounts is different and she could only put in a message for them. She reportedly sent a message asking that they review my account and stated that hopefully this will speed things up. She could not give me a reference number regarding my claim, and did not even provide her full name. As of the date of this complaint ( XX/XX/XXXX ). My account remains frozen. I need access to my money so that I can transfer it to a bank that can provide basic banking and helpful customer service. SoFi is the worst.
