According to the fair credit reporting act whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report, it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the credit relates. After this conpany stated that my investigation had been completed as of XXXX XXXX. I sent a letter asking them to reinvestigate these accounts listed below, because XXXX XXXX Sold to XXXX open date is not reporting correctly, date last active, date last payment is not correct, this account is not accurate. After my investigation had been completed, I took a deeper look into the report to ensure it accuracy due to the identity theft, that I have experience within the last three years. It is becoming tiresome needless to say. I have been in XXXX XXXX XXXX since XXXX. According to 15 USC 1681i 5 they are supposed to do this ( 5 ) treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information. A ) In general If, after any reinvestigation under paragraph ( 1 ) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be in accurate or incomplete, or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall ( i ) promptly delete the item of information from the file of the consumer
