Consumer Narrative
NAVIENT has been my loan servicer for close to or over 20 years. I have been under XXXX all this time. I have always supplied my repayment plan paperwork along with the REQUESTED INCOME DOCUMENTATION. Navient as well as the other servicers request that since I am married, file taxes jointly with my spouse and spouse also has student loans, I AM REQUIRED TO SEND IN MY XXXX. THIS HAS BEEN DONE YEAR AFTER YEAR. XX/XX/XXXX I was due to recert of XXXX plan. Filled out the same form with joint XXXX to ALL my servicing lenders ( NAVIENT, XXXX and XXXX ). Navient calculated {$79.00} per month while the others were {$0.00}. I called them in XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about this issue of why they did not give me the same IDR as they other XXXX lenders. They told me to upload the correct documents and a new form and Navient would recalculate the monthly payment. This was uploaded XX/XX/XXXX. I went back into the Navient systems and entered my secured inbox and noticed that my uploaded form and supporting documents were deleted. So on I called the customer service number XX/XX/XXXX and received a lady who was working from home and did not have the ability to pull or inquire about the documents uploaded into the Navient system,. This representative issued a temporary forbearance so that I could resubmit the XXXX form and the joint XXXX documents so that NAVIENT could ONCE AGAIN RECALCULATE my payment. This was done AGAIN, this time I took screen shots of the successful document upload along with documents waiting to be pulled. XX/XX/XXXX I entered the NAVIENT system AGAIN and saw that the forms WERE NOT PROCESSED AGAIN. I called the customer service number and spoke to XXXX. She told me that I needed to supply MY MONTHLY INCOME and NOT THE XXXX JOINT FILING AND THEY WOULD THEN RECALCULATE MY AMOUNT! I uploaded my SSA award letter stating my monthly amount of {$990.00} income along with the form ONCE AGAIN, took screen shots again. Later in the day on XX/XX/XXXX I received a communication from NAVIENT stating " WE'RE UNABLE TO PROCESS YOUR INCOME BASED REPAYMENT PLAN RECERTIFICATION AT THIS TIME. '' I also received a letter from XXXX who is the authorized agent for NAVIENT stating that I am over 60 days delinquent. I am not delinquent, I am upholding my financial agreement with supplying them with my forms and supporting documents. NAVIENT is and has had multiple law suits and issues with posting payments and processing paperwork for their clients.
