My mortgage company XXXX XXXX had a data breach in XXXX. I was sent a letter in XXXX about the incident. My mortgage company is s sister-company. My name, social, and personal information was affected. TD Bank I received a letter saying that I requested an address to be added to my TD Bank Cash Credit Card. I contacted tran-union to freeze my credit. That was XX/XX/XXXX. On XXXX I got a phone call from a risk company asking if I charged {$7800.00} on this card. I said no then asked about XXXX XXXX for {$1000.00}. I said no and there was a few other charges all made in Georgia. That was done in the state where the address addition was requested. I called TD and cancelled the card on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked them for new cards, and told them what was going on. We thought it was getting looked at. We received a statement in the mail saying the accrued amount was {$14000.00}. We called and got the fraud department. The person said, that he could see that we cancelled the card, and someone tried to get into the card after it was closed. I listened to the phone call that recorded of the person trying to get into the account. It was a younger person. We thought it was getting desputed, but we never received any correspondence. I then received a letter saying that I owed {$540.00}, and it was going to go to collections. I called and found out that they did nothing with it. They also took the flag that was on this account off the account without my knowledge. We called, XX/XX/2024, the person put notes on the side, but never did anything with it. We now received a claim number XXXX. The charges were all made online.
