Wells Fargo My mortgage company XXXX XXXX had a data breach in XXXX. I was sent a letter in XXXX about the incident. My mortgage company is a sister-company. My name, social, and personal information was affected. We happened to receive a statement saying that I owed {$4900.00}. We called on XX/XX/2024, reporting that we did not make those charges. They had said that someone had called, and stated that they lost the cards and that they needed new cards sent to them. The company issued a new card to this person. The card number ending in XXXX is the card that we do not have, but the fraud holder does. I did not receive any notice that they were issuing new cards to anyone. Wells Fargo said they were going to do an investigation. Two weeks later, I got a letter saying that I was responsible for the charges. I called them and opened up a new inquiry. I sent my drivers license and documents that they sent me to fill out on XX/XX/XXXX. I am waiting to hear their results. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a new statement with the amount still on it, however they moved the charges from the fraudulent card to my card.
