I am writing to formally dispute and request the removal of an unauthorized credit inquiry that appeared on my credit report. I am disputing the reporting from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. Upon reviewing my credit history, I discovered the presence of a hard inquiry dated XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that I did not authorize or initiate. I am also disputing unauthorized credit inquiries from Regional Acceptance Corporation dated XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. Per 15 U.S Code 1681 ( b ) Permissible purposes of consumer reports, Except as provided in section 1681g ( a ) ( 5 ), a consumer reporting agency shall not furnish to any person a record of inquiries in connection with a credit or insurance transaction that is not initiated by a consumer. A consumer may elect to have the consumers name and address excluded from any list provided by a consumer reporting agency in connection with a credit or insurance transaction that is not initiated by the consumer, by notifying the agency that the consumer does not consent to any use of a consumer report relating to the consumer in connection with any credit or insurance transaction that is not initiated by the consumer. A consumer shall notify a consumer reporting agency through the notification system maintained by the agency under paragraph or by submitting to the agency a signed notice of election form issued by the agency. Upon receipt of notification of the election of a consumer under through the notification system maintained by the agency, a consumer reporting agency shall inform the consumer that the election is effective only for the 5-year period following the election if the consumer does not submit to the agency a signed notice of election form issued by the agency and provide to the consumer a notice of election form, if requested by the consumer, not later than 5 business days after receipt of the notification of the election through the system established at the time the consumer provides notification through the system. The inclusion of this inquiry has raised significant concerns as it has adversely impacted my credit score and financial standing. I have attached supporting documentation, including copies of my credit report highlighting the unauthorized inquiry, as well as evidence of my non-engagement with the aforementioned creditor during the stated timeframe. Per the FCRA as a federally protected consumer, I am have opted out of all authorization that I, the consumer, may have given you. Per 15 U.S. Code 6802 all written, unwritten, verbal or non-verbal authorization has been opted out of effectively immediately and indefinitely. I have urged XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Regional Acceptance Corporation, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and promptly remove the disputed inquiry from my credit report. Given the potential implications on my creditworthiness and financial well-being, I requested that this issue be addressed within 30 days to ensure the accuracy and fairness of my credit report.
