I applied for a mortgage application on XX/XX/2024 and had my credit pulled. On a mortgage application it is required to pull credit from all 3 agencies : Equifax, XXXX and XXXX. I DID NOT GIVE CONSENT TO SELL MY INFORMATION and My mortgage broker did not sell my information but the credit agencies did! EQUIFAX, XXXX, XXXX. How is it legal for them to do sell my information without my consent? How can other lenders/broker BUY LEADS from you without gettting the consent from the Mortgage Broker that I hired to represent me?! I received 40 phone calls in 1 day from other lenders and mortgage brokers offering their services and although i appreciate the opportunity to shop around for the best loan product for my situation, If I choose to shop around that is my choice and should be under my control. I do not want nor did I approve selling my contact information to these other lenders and brokers! I continued to get at least 20 calls and text messages every day for a week. Please help protect consumers with this illegal activity. Thank you!
