I signed an XXXX with XXXX XXXX to help pay for the remainder of my schooling. Repayment was contractually deferred ( XXXX ). Then the handler for my repayment switched from XXXX XXXX to Launch Servicing ( XX/XX/XXXX ). Since then, Launch Servicing has broken contract by making my XXXX a student loan/debt instrument. Also, Launch Servicing took me out of contractual $ XXXX monthly payments ( XXXX ) and created a seemingly random number for me to pay each month. By contract, I did not have to make these payments and was not expecting to. Then Launch Servicing began harassing me with multiple phone calls and emails every day. I did my part by providing all the information requested, but just wanted money from me that I did not contractually owe. Next, they threatened to degrade my credit score unless I back-paid this money. I was pressured into paying after they told me my score would be severely degraded in XXXX of XXXX I asked if my record would be clean and reflect so on my credit score, to which they verbally agreed it would. I paid ( XX/XX/XXXX ), but no mention of this XXXX ever showed on my credit report. I then stopped paying again, as I was contractually not supposed to be paying. However, the harassment for more payments continued. I expressed this was harassment, and they stopped. Then last month ( XX/XX/XXXX ), they reported missing payments as far back as early last year when they first started harassing me, even though they stated my account and reporting would be in good standing. I have tried to dispute this with XXXX ( the only credit bureau reporting on this ) as there was so much misinformation on what was reported, and it still shows on my credit. This took my credit score down substantially and is all based on false information. Lastly, Launch Servicing has since threatened that XXXX XXXX XXXX will now make the entire unpaid balance due and payable with the account defaulting. I've been in contact with a team of lawyers throughout this process and have been proceeding as suggested. According to them, there are many FDCPA violations here. This is why I am filing a formal complaint with CFPB and the XXXX XXXX. If you would like any specific material related to this complaint, please ask and I will gladly provide it.
