I have been trying to pay off my account with XXXX since XX/XX/XXXX. I mailed a check for {$11000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX which is the address listed on my statements to make a payment by mail. According to Comenity Bank, this check was never received. I contacted my credit union to have that check cancelled and have them issue a new check which was mailed directly from XXXX to the same address on XX/XX/XXXX in the same amount. Again, Comenity Bank said this check was never received. I sent copies of the front and back of the check as requested. On XXXX XXXX Comenity Bank sends me a letter saying they received my claim and are currently researching it. On XXXX XXXX I receive a letter from Comenity Bank stating there is no record of my payment and I now owe {$800.00}. I once again contact my credit union to have the check canceled and reissued, pick up the check and go to a XXXX store located at XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, MD XXXX to pay in person and I was told by XXXX that they couldnt accept a payment in store over {$1000.00}. She gives me XXXX numbers to call, XXXX of which I received a message saying I was unauthorized to call. The other is to XXXX XXXX customer service who transfers me to Comenity Bank. I ask the customer service rep what is the address to make an overnight payment and he proceeds to tell me that there is no address to make an overnight payment. He gives me the XXXX XXXX XXXX address and I explain to him Ive mailed XXXX checks to that location which were never cashed. I called customer service line a few days prior to confirm the mailing address and they tell me it is located on my statement. I respond with I dont have my statement in front of me and with an attitude she states XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX TX XXXX. This is NOT what is printed on the statement! I also called customer service this morning to inquire how long it takes for a payment to post because according to my statement, a payment mailed to the overnight address is credited the same day received if it arrives before XXXX XXXX. I have confirmation my package was received and signed for by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. My account has not been credited as of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which is the time Im writing this. I am now forced to have to pursue legal action and I have various phone calls and the store visit all on video so may the odds be in their favor. I have called customer service and written Comenity Bank NUMEROUS TIMES over the past XXXX months. These people are unprofessional and DO NOT CARE about trying to close this dispute. They have received my checks and are refusing to cash them. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. Seems the only payment they are willing to take is over the phone or on their website.
