Capital One completely IGNORED the full content of my original complaint XXXX. They sent a XXXX XXXX letter that did NOTHING to address the areas I included in my complaint XXXX. CFPB closed the original complaint XXXX which was unacceptable. Did CFBP bother to read what Capital One included in their reply? THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN STATUSED TO CLOSED. It is clear that CFPB doesn't really do much at all because IF you cared, you would NOT close a complaint until the consumer has the chance to review how the company replied to the complaint. Nope. CFPB just checked a box after Capital One issued their weasel answer - that the complaint was considered closed. FAIL. Why don't you leave the complaint in " active '' status UNTIL the consumer either indicates " all is well '' XXXX " company did not address and this needs further attention ''? And now I have to waste MORE time creating a new complaint. THIS complaint includes the non-action on the part of the CFPB ( you do nothing but pass things on ) as well as the FAIL on the part of Capital One to answer the questions I included in the original complaint. You do not hold the company to any " standards/protocols '' besides checking the box that they sent " something? '' There is NO review of their reply? So they get a pass and I sit here, wasting time with yet another complaint about the same issue. I called your phone number today and spoke with someone who said her name was XXXX. I tried and tried to get answers as to why CFPB closed XXXX and when she could not answer my questions, and I asked to speak with a supervisor, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. And this is why I now have filed another complaint. Unreal.
