We received his new orders with the military to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX The financial advisor on base advised us, that under the Relief Act- for Louisiana SCRA, that any creditor can't more than 6 % interest ( cap ) for any active service member stationed in Louisiana. The Louisana - State Specific Relief Act for service members spefically states for any account before and after the service member had before XXXX. Below- Title 29- Military, Naval, and Veteran 's Affairs 29:312. Limits on creditor interest rates XXXX Louisiana Laws Revised Statutes Title 29 - Military, Naval, and Veteran 's Affairs 29:312. Limits on creditor interest rates Universal Citation : LA Rev Stat 29:312 ( 2022 ) RS 29:312 - Limits on creditor interest rates A. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, no creditor in connection with an obligation entered into on or after XX/XX/XXXX, shall charge or collect from a person, or spouse of a person, who is on XXXX XXXX interest or finance charges exceeding six percent per annum during the period that the person is XXXX on XXXX XXXX.
