A check I mailed to a client was stolen and fraudulently cashed. The check was written on XX/XX/2023 and cashed on XX/XX/2023. Check number XXXX for XXXX Made out to XXXX XXXX I filed a claim with XXXX XXXX and after working though the contradicting instructions from their representatives the claim was submitted in XXXX. Check number XXXX for XXXX was written and cashed on the same dates to the same recipient. Several months ago I received the money back for check XXXXXXXX. XXXX XXXX keeps telling me that Cadence bank 's investigation is pending but refuses to share with me the details that Cadence bank sent in their update because " customers cant speak to that department ''. I received a call from the check casher 's ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) Collection department ( XXXX ) Who was calling to collect the funds on the check ( meaning that they never received the funds from Cadence Bank ) The collection department also informed me that the check was cashed by a " XXXX XXXX ''. It is pretty easy to see that Cadence bank still has the funds, XXXX XXXX has been completely incompetent from start to finish and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX cashed a check fraudulently signed for by XXXX XXXX that was addressed to XXXX XXXX. I haven't been able to get any update the last 6 months other than " Cadence Bank 's investigation is still pending and we can't share the details in the note they send us because that department doesn't talk to customers '' Even tho I was paid months ago for check XXXX
