XX/XX/2024 I received texts about my new Chime account, including welcome emails. I immediately contacted them and they would not provide any information- but you have to use your phone number, SSN, email, phone number to open an account. They closed the account, but refused to give any details around the opening of the account. I later recieved a card in the mail. I never opened an account with them, yet they provide an easy service that doesn't hit credit bureaus that allows scammers to verify your social security number and personal details.
