I am writing to make a complaint on Current Bank. It is a XXXX XXXX. I have a XXXX XXXX card with this particular bank. I have been using the card for rental cars, to keep my funds separated. On XX/XX/2024, I had a pending charge for XXXX on my account. I reached out to the rental car company XXXX via phone and email to stop any payments from this account. I had a new form of payment to use instead. I also used the block feature on Current for this company. I was told by XXXX of their reps this is their stop payment. The charge was pending on my account up until XX/XX/2024, after I dropped off the car on XX/XX/2024. The rental car company was STILL allowed to overdraft my account for XXXX, EVEN after taking away authorization to draft this account! Not only is this amount wrong, it was as if the stop payment did NOT matter. I reached out to XXXX they provided me with XXXX help. They ARE NOT helpful in anything. They lie and overcharge! I was advised by XXXX themselves to send the email I also left several messages with their supervisors I never got a response from them EVER. They continued to charge the card AFTER the email was send stopping any further payments from that card. Im still waiting on a response in regards to my missing XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I did an incident report with their lost and found nobody has responded back to me. So, I didnt really expect them to respond. Which I am reporting then to XXXX. Furthermore, Current Bank provided me with XXXX assistance. I disputed the transaction, pointing out to them I put a stop payment in place to XXXX and the bank. Nobody was able to help me in any capacity. They kept giving generic answers such as the account was force charged, and the Block ( stop payment ) feature would not work in this instance. On top of that, me providing them proof of my emails and proof of the Block feature in use did not work neither. I still lost the dispute. This has caused me an enormous amount of stress and loss of funds. I just feel lied to by both companies. I will attach proof.
