Collection Associates LTD has falsely reported an allegedly owed debt to the credit bureaus without verifying the debt or contacting me about the claimed debt. On XX/XX/24 I disputed the debt via all major credit bureaus- Collection Associates did not respond to the dispute to me directly even though debt verification was requested in the dispute. Collection Associates ignored the request, but did inform the credit bureaus that the data reported was correct. This is not the case and hasnt been proven to be true. I disputed the debt for a reason and this dispute went ignored. Proper debt verification processes were not followed per FDCPA and FCRA guidelines. Per regulations, all disputes and requests for verification must be responded to directly. Collection Associates LTD failed to properly validate the debt in question. Pre regulations, their failure to validate the debt makes the alleged debt unenforceable and uncollectible. They are falsely reporting an unverified debt to the credit bureaus which has wrongfully impacted my credit in a severely negative way. This action could be construed as fraud and harassment per FDCPA. I request that Collection Associates LTD promptly removes the collection account from my credit reports and close out the account within their system as it relates to my name and/or personal information. The allegedly owed debt must be marked as unenforceable and uncollectible.
