I brought a pre-approval letter to a car dealership to finance a used car so during the process, they had me sign on forms stating its for registration etc and they ran my credit report without my consent despite my approval from a lender. I got the car and seen hard inquiries hit my credit report. Heres the worst part : the car had oil leaking into the engine and I found out weeks later about it when the check engine light came so I took it back and they gave me a trade car that valued XXXX more than the loan I already got and RAN MY CREDIT AGAIN for more lenders. If you check my credit profile, you will notice I been with the same lender I was approved with originally for both vehicles and now I have XXXX unauthorized hard inquires on my credit report.
