The bank that my car loan is through sent me an email in XXXX of 2023 stating that I did not have coverage on the vehicle and that they would add cpi ( insurance ) if I did not send proof of insurance. Thinking this was a fluke I sent in my proof and waited. Then I got another email a month later stating the same issue so I sent in proof again, I got an email on XX/XX/XXXX saying they would get back to me in XXXX days. I got a response within the same day saying the format is incorrect so I resent the information in the correct format and never got a response. I got another email stating I needed to send proof of insurance on XX/XX/XXXX and I sent in my insurance again, I didnt receive any responses or notifications of needing proof of insurance again. Then in XXXX I get a notification that I am 30 days late on a payment, Im thinking this is impossible since I create a payment from my bank that then automatically goes to the account, when I look at my bloom account the payment more than doubled with the added cpi. I am frustrated since I sent in proof of the insurance and I even emailed and talked with a person over email about this so why wasnt I notified or given proper direction on what to do. I go into a physical location and the person was giving me a horrible interaction even once she realized I was submitting the proper papers for insurance. I then go to another location and they see my information and the documents submitted and agree that the info is correct and then remove the cpi. My problem is I was never notified that the cpi was added, there was no date or paper stating this, I was not told if anything was wrong with my documents after the initial email, I did not receive prompt help, and the bank messed up on their end by denying my documents were inadequate when they truly were. I never miss a payment so this is tanking my score when this was an issue on the banks end. I did play part and I paid for insurance and had it on the vehicle, I submitted documents proving it and I emailed and went into a physical location with no help. Even after this was finished I emailed the loan officer that helped to see if I can recoup any of the fees charged to pay the credit card I intended on paying off with the funds I had to use to pay the car payment that doubled.
