Submit through the CFPB To Whom it may concern I have recently review a copy of my consumer report and have noticed that there is a collection furnish on my report that I know nothing about, nor am I sure that it is even my debt. The misinformation being furnished to my consumer report is negatively effecting my credit worthiness and may have substancial financial consquences for me and my future The debt being furnished on my consumer report reads as followed SW CRDT SYS ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX ) Account # : XXXX According to the Federal Laws governing debt collection and Credit Reporting FDCPA and the FCRA you have violated my consumer rights under the following 12 CFR 1006.34 ( b ) ( 5 ) 12 CFR 1006.34 ( c ) ( 4 ) ( i ) 12 CFR 1006.34 ( d ) 15 USC 1681s-2 ( a ) Debt collectors are required to abide by these strict guidelines inorder to ensure the accurancy of the debts that they report and providing verification of the debt upon the request from a consumer I XXXX XXXX am formely requesting the following actions to be taken in regards to the incorrect debt being furnished on my consumer report XXXX - Provide me with detailed information about the ownership of the debt in question to include the account number, original creditor, and all documentation related to this debt to include your forward flow agreement between your company and the original creditor XXXX - Cease any and all collection activities in relation to this debt until the validation process is complete XXXX - Investigate the source of the error and promptly update my consumer report with the 100 % accurate information XXXX - Confirm in writing that this debt has been removed from my consumer report and that there will no longer be any attempts to collect on this debt I am urging your agency to comply with the above requested actions as it is mandated by Federal Law. So please do so inorder to prevent any potential legal consequences for non compliance.
