On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I called Capital One Bank to make a monthly payment. I asked the agent what would be the lowest payment amount that I could make without being reported 30 days late to the XXXX credit bureaus and still be current. She asked me if I could make a certain amount and I asked her if she could give me a second amount that would allow me to be current and not reported 30 days late. She told me to hold on for a few minutes as she made a new calculation and told me that the lowest amount to be current and not reported as 30 days late would be {$17.00}. I even remember asking her if she was sure that the {$17.00} would be enough and she laughed and replied yes and not to worry. So later on, on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, I got an alert from XXXX stating that I was XXXX payments past due. I immediately called Capital One and explained to the agent who answered the phone what had happen and she transferred me over to a supervisor. The supervisor told me to hold on while she pulled up the conversation. After XXXX minutes she came back to the phone and told me to give them 10 days to call me back with a decision. Today is XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and no one has gotten back to me. I have been with Capital One since XXXX off and on and have never ever in my life been late with them.
