XX/XX/XXXX, requested a withdrawal of {$5000.00} from my account, handed an envelope with the money that came directly from their money machine. Threw the envelope in a safe and a month later when attempting to use the money, came across XXXX {$20.00} dollar bills in the middle of the stack of {$100.00} dollar bills. So still XXXX bills but XXXX {$100.00} 's and XXXX {$20.00} 's so I am out {$1600.00}. Went back to the branch and the manager said that he was going to look at the tapes but basically emailed me the next day saying to there was nothing amiss. Corporate complaint filed on the XXXX of XXXX and these also closed with XXXX communication. I know that they reconcile all accounts and money daily so I am assuming that the money was stolen at branch level after discovering the overage. Regions branch XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TX XXXX XXXX XXXX - Branch manager XXXX XXXX - teller that handed me the envelope Still have all of the bills sitting in the original envelope but Regions could care less about investigating a {$1600.00} theft
