***PLEASE REFERENCE PREVIOUS CFPB COMPLAINT NUMBER XXXX FIRST PROGRESS RESPONDED TO MY ORIGINAL COMPLAINT DATED XX/XX/2024 ON XX/XX/2024 CLAIMING THAT A REQUEST TO EXPEDITE THE REFUND OF MY {$1000.00} SECURITY DEPOSIT WAS SUBMITTED, HOWEVER, AFTER SPEAKING WITH XXXXSUPERVISOR TODAY, HE ADVISED THAT THERE HAVE BEEN " NO '' REQUEST TO EXPEDITE THE REFUND OF MY SECURITY DEPOSIT AND THAT IT WILL STILL TAKE UP TO 10 WEEKS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THIS COMPANY PROVIDED A WRITTEN RESPONSE WITH A BLATANT " LIE ''?! I WAS ALSO INFORMED BY XXXX THAT A REQUEST MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE CORRESPONDANT DEPT AT XXXX REQUESTING THAT THE SECURITY DEPOSIT BE REFUNDED. I WOULD LIKE FIRST PROGRESS TO PROVIDE ME WITH SPECIFIC DETAILS OF WHEN THE REQUEST WAS MADE - IE. SPECIFIC DATE AND TIME AND TO WHAT FAX # / EMAIL ADDRESS, ETC. THE REQUEST WAS MADE TO ON XX/XX/2024? ADDITIONALLY, FIRST PROGRESS STILL HAS NOT PROVIDED ME WITH A COPY OF THE AGREEMENT THAT I SUPPOSEDLY SIGNED ACKNOWLEDGING MY AGREEMENT TO ALLOW 10 WEEKS BEFORE I WOULD RECEIVE MY SECURITY DEPOSIT. AGAIN, I AM REQUESTING THAT CFPB PROVIDE FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THIS PRACTICE BY FIRST PROGRESS AS I BELIEVE IT IS A VIOLATION OF THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT.
