PLEASE VIEW ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS ATTACHED TO COMPLAINT I received a letter from Jefferson Capital stating that I allegedly owed them a debt. Confused on the debt that they were referring to I immediately sent them a debt validation letter on XX/XX/2024 via certified mail. I received notification that Jefferson Capital received my debt validation letter on XX/XX/2024 with a signature as proof. While anticipating a response ( which I never received ) from Jefferson Capital, I received several notifications on XX/XX/2024 and XX/XX/2024 from my credit monitoring sites stating that an account has been placed in collections in my name and is now reflecting on my credit report, when I looked to see what the account is I see it is an account from Jefferson Capital. Not only did I send a letter requesting for debt validation I also continued to exercise my rights and demanded that Jefferson Capital cease and desist any and all collection efforts of this alleged debt immediately. Jefferson Capital failed to validate the alleged debt that they claim that I owe, and Jefferson Capital failed to cease any and all collection efforts of this alleged debt, and continued collection efforts by reporting this alleged debt to my credit AFTER I requested validation of the debt and demanded that all collection efforts be ceased.
