Consumer Narrative

I recieved a XXXX $ American Express gift card for XXXX in XXXX, but I didn't start using it until this month ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I was able to use about half the balance of the card just once at a restaurant, and the card repeatedly gets declined at every establishment online or in person since then. Contacting customer support about this issue was not helpful, as they just advised that I should be able to use the card anywhere ( but I am not ). The remaining balance on the card is {$23.00}.
