On XX/XX/XXXX Contacted XXXX ( XXXX ) Spoke with a representative by the name of XXXX. I requested a copy of the 1099-C form XXXX filed XXXX the IRS. On XX/XX/XXXX an email was sent from XXXX with a copy of the 1098 form, after requesting a copy of the 1099- c form as well. Not only is this company committing security fraud, but they are committing tax frau das well. While I have received the 1098 form via email and mail, I have NOT received the copy of the 1099-C Cancellation of debt form that XXXX filed with the IRS. It is important to rectify this situation promptly to avoid potential tax implications and to ensure accurate reporting on my consumer report. If XXXX was able to send the copy of the 1098 form via email and mail, why are are they witholding the copy of the 1099 - C, and why wasn't a copy sent to me as soon as filing with the IRS? I am requesting XXXX to send me the requested documents per my request immediately. I am also requesting your company to cease requesting payments on an account that has been canceled debt. It is important to align with the FCRA, and IRS guidelines and accurately reflect the cancellation of debt status to avoid any further confusion or potential legal issues.
