My business and personal bank accounts were closed without me being given an official reason. The manager said it's probably because I was making too many cash deposits. He was aware that Citizens bank 's cash advance machines were down company wide because they are changing their system out. ( so I was told ) For what I assumed was going to be a week or 2 but this went on for several months so I had to continually go to another bank when I needed cash advances and bring the cash back to Citizens to deposit into my account. I have a line of credit from another bank that I can continually draw from and pay it back. Any account linked to my business account has been shut down and closed. They said it would be closed permanently on XX/XX/24 but they closed everything on XX/XX/24 after only giving me about 3 days notice. After getting the letter I spoke to the manager and he said he would appeal the decision and let them know it he was aware I was bringing the cash deposits because of the broken cash advance system at his bank. He told me the appeal was denied on approximately XXXX which only gave me about 3 days to make other arrangments and with Friday the XXXX being a pay day for my business caused me harm because now I don't know if my employees were able to cash their checks. I googled this and found that Citizens bank has been doing this to other customers also without giving them any explanation as to why. I requested a number to call the corporate office and the manager said he didn't have one. I asked for Contact information for the president of the bank and again he told me he didn't have anything.
