I have 2 collection accounts that showed up on my credit report. Both say they are for an original creditor of XXXX XXXX, but do not give complete account numbers, so when I call to dispute it, they won't give me any information because they can not verify it belongs to me, yet when I dispute it through XXXX, the account remains because the collection agency verified it was mine! What??? First collection agency : MRS BPO XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX Date opened was XXXX ( I have never received any bills or collection notices in my mail from the original creditor of XXXX XXXX, yet when the collection agency gets it in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX they somehow have my information to report it on. ) Amount is {$2300.00} as of XX/XX/2024. Again, I have NEVER had an account with XXXX XXXX Second collection agency : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX -- XXXX Date opened XXXX ( Again, never received bills from original creditor of XXXX XXXX yet collection agency throws it on me. ) Amount is {$260.00} as of XX/XX/2024. Why is this amount different than the other collection agency. And again, I have NEVER had an account with XXXX XXXX nor received any bills or or collections letters at my address. I have disputed with the credit reporting agencies, yet both account remain as " verified correct ''. Yet when I call the collection agencies, I get a run around, and someone will call you back, and we can't verify your information, so we can't discuss it with you, and no one will send me out any type of verification information. Personal note : A person can commit MURDER in this country and they are innocent until proven guilty. BUT, if something shows up on your credit report, it is yours ( even if it isn't ), you are guilty ( even if you aren't ), and good luck trying to prove your innocence!
