I had pre-paid for services at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX late summer XXXX. Prior to the first XXXX XXXX, a visa payment was made. Months later I received a small balance from the provider, for {$72.00}, for the same services. I had been questioning the balance, as it was a pre-pay service up front, and had been told the amount was on-hold by XXXX. Early XXXX I started receiving calls multiple times a day, and text messages from MBB ( Medical Business Bureau ) out of XXXX XXXX IL. https : //www.mbb.net/ Having understood the debt was being reviewed, I was surprised. MBB was calling regarding the same {$72.00} due XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX and paid the balance in full. I emailed MBB informing them I was contacting the business to pay the balance that same day ( XXXX ). On XXXX I sent MBB a record of the payment receipt and instructed them not to call again. The debt is paid. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, I am still receiving calls from this debt collector, regarding the same balance and file. I have a voice message from them of XX/XX/XXXX ( yesterday ) requesting payment, which is saved for reference. These harassing tactics, calling weeks past payment made, and demanding payment for the same balance, are annoying, unprofessional and unethical.
