I received an alert from Experian that a collections account appeared on my credit report. I filed a dispute with Experian on XX/XX/XXXX that the account was not mine. I also contacted the collection agency and provided them with information that the account was not mine. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an update on my dispute from experience that confirmed the account was mine. I immediately called the collection agency and they confirmed with me that they had closed the account as not mine and had notified all three credit reporting agencies on XX/XX/XXXX that the account was to be pulled from my report. I reported to them that experience had closed my dispute after confirming, the account on XX/XX/XXXX with the collection agency. The collection agency confirmed that they did not receive any request to confirm the account from Experian and would not have been able to on XX/XX/XXXX as reported by experience as the account was closed. The information provided by the collection agency was confirmed with the other two credit reporting agencies of XXXX XXXX and XXXX That they had received the information on XX/XX/XXXX from the collection agency. I immediately called Experian and reported this information and was told that it takes XXXX hours to update information. I called back on XX/XX/XXXX and the information had not been updated yet and the item remained confirmed on my credit report. I was told to submit an additional dispute Which I did on XX/XX/XXXX. I have called back XXXX times and have been unable to get any updates on the status of the dispute or an acknowledgment of the information provided by the collection agency.
