I paid a past due balance ( {$790.00} ) and the current monthy due payment ( {$790.00} ) with a payment of {$1000.00} This payment was ackknowledge by my bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) as follows : ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL CAPITAL ONE ONLINE XXXX - {$1000.00} Post Date : XX/XX/2024 Type : ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL The next day I logged to my XXXX 's Capital One account again to check the balances. It showed CapitalOne receiving the payment as follows : XX/XX/XXXX Payment from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ... XXXX Payment XXXX XXXX... XXXX - {$1000.00} Posted : Sat, XX/XX/2024 Source : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ... XXXX Method : Online Confirmation Code : XXXX On XX/XX/2024 I logged in to my XXXX account and found that XXXX had withdrawn another payment : ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL CAPITAL ONE CRCARDPMT XXXX - {$790.00} {$0.00} Post Date : XX/XX/2024 Type : ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL I then logged on to CapitalOne and found their ackknowledgement of received payment. XXXX Method : AutoPay Confirmation Code : XXXX This basically wiped out my XXXX account. When I called CapitalOne to explain this and return the money. I got the run around. Basically saying I would have to wait 5 days before asking for the payment back. I immediately asked to a She also said I'd have to wait 5 days to make the request so that they can verify the payment. I told them both my bank and CapitalOne acknowledge receipt of the payment. The supervisor then made a conference call to XXXX, with me on the line, in order to verify the payment was made. XXXX acknowleged the payent. I don't understand why the supervisor did this, since they already confirmed they had the money on my payment history. She then said she would put in the request to return payment now, instead of waiting 5 days. buHowever she said it would take XXXX weeks to process the return. I said this is paramount to double billing me. Not very legitimate. They get to keep the money to make interest on it while I suffer the consequences. I asked her how am I supposed to pay my bills without the money in my account. I'm retired, self employed and on Social Security. SS only pays out once a month. My XXXX XXXX barely averages to about {$150.00}, and is not on any kind schedule. I get paid only when I complete jobs. I then asked, who is going to be responible for any late fees or penalties I incurr because of this. No response other than to say this is our process. I have attached transactions acknowledgements from my bank and credit card
