On XX/XX/year>, I received an alert from Experian Credit showing I have exceeded my Department of Education XXXX loan credit usage limit by 101.78 %. As a result, my credit score decreased by XXXX points. I contacted XXXX the servicer, and they did not report the deferred XXXX as a revolving credit card, with a usage balance limit. Experians algorithm miscategorized the deferred XXXX loan. I contacted Experian to inform them that the deferred XXXX loan was miscategorized, reporting as a credit card, with usage balance/limit ( see attached snipped photo ). Experian explained that they have not seen this before, and that they would start a dispute. Experian also, recommended that I should report it to the CFPB to have the algorithm parameters change. I am reporting this incident, because I am expecting full resolution and restoration of my credit score, and the Experian algorithm changed/adjusted.
