An unknown employee of American Express has continued to report negative information onto my consumer report. Dating back to XX/XX/XXXX a CFPB complaint was submitted for the same harassment complaint number XXXX. The repeated negative report today says " AMERICAN EXPRESS has flagged your account as charged off as bad debt with XXXX. Which may negatively impact your credit score based on XXXX data ''. PLEASE BE ADVISED. I AM AWARE THIS IS EXTORTION. If you disagree and feel this is not extortion. Please provide proof that gives you the right to report NEGATIVE information onto the consumer credit report. Also, please explain in detail what is the true purpose and reason for reporting NEGATIVE information onto the consumer report, when knowing the negative information reported will damage the reputation of the consumer with other " Creditors ''. I am requesting for lawful proof stating that NEGATIVE information can be reported. Not your companies policy saying you have to report NEGATIVE information, but the law.
