I filed a complaint against the AARGON COLLECTION AGENCY regarding account number XXXX that they reported to XXXX XXXX XXXX as a debt from XXXX XXXX. In my complaint through CFPB they provided a response stating that they sent Notice of the debt was provided to the consumer in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act on XX/XX/2023. Our office received no I have yet to receive any notice of debt. They also explained that they received my dispute but claimed it was through CFPB when I filed a dispute through XXXX and XXXX in which they failed to provide any information to XXXX that verified my identity and the account was removed. XXXX allowed the account to stay because per there rep they took the word of Aragon that they had verified the debt. When in fact Aragon hasnt verified anything. The address that Aarogon stated that service was provided to is the same address that XXXX has that came from fraudulent transactions that were put on my credit report. I have never lived at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I have never known anyone at that address. My credit report reflects this information. Aside from XXXX and Aragon reporting fraudulent accounts this address would never show on my credit report. I have an identity theft report that was filed and I will attach it with names and addresses used to obtain credit in my name. I am asking that Aragon agency and any subsidy of this debt collector will remove all information from my credit report that they are falsely reporting or I will take further legal action. The unfair debt practices that this company has taken to lie and fraudulently collect debt has tarnished my name. XXXX extended credit to fraudsters and therefore stated in there CFPB complaint that theyve since removed accounts due to there negligence. I am asking that aarogon follow suit as they have purchased a debt that was a result of identity theft.
