I am writing to request assistance with my current loan bill numbers with Discover loans - XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX. The current arrangements on payment amount are higher than what I can currently pay. Unfortunately, I was scammed {$250000.00}, and the FBI is currently investigating the incident as a fraud case. I have attached the necessary documentation to support this claim, and you can reach out to the FBI agent in the letter attached to verify. Due to unforeseen work reduction, I can no longer pay the amount requested. This is solely due to the reduction in wages and the effect of the scam on my finances. The current economic situation and inflation are only exaggerating this condition. I have the followings requests for the duration of the FBI investigation : a reduction in my monthly payment, a lower interest rate and assistance toward monthly payment. I do not want to stop sending payments. However, I have XXXX parents and XXXX children who are solely my responsibility as a single parent. The cost of living has created a negative drain on financial resources not present during the original payment calculations of these loans. I look forward to your assistance in reducing such a high payment amount that does not match a reasonable payment total.
