XX/XX/XXXX : Received American Express email to my email account offering {$350.00} bonus on a new HYSA ( body of email mentioned my husband 's name ). Called AMEX on XX/XX/XXXX to ask if I could open an account in my name and receive the same bonus. Was told " yes '', so opened an account. Wording on the email included this language : " Offer available to email recipients who dont have an existing American Express Savings account. Funds must be deposited by XX/XX/XXXX and held through XX/XX/XXXX. '' Bonus was payable after XX/XX/XXXX. I called AMEX on XX/XX/XXXX to ask why I didn't receive bonus. They said they'd open a ticket. On XX/XX/XXXX, Customer Service said they'd submit a Research Request '' requesting the bonus. On XX/XX/XXXX ; Supervisor called to say I didn't qualify, only my husband would have. When I explained that I had asked that question when opening the account and was assured I was eligible, she said AMEX sends out XXXX of emails and couldn't know who would be eligible. XX/XX/XXXX : Left another request for a supervisor call back. No response to date.
