My personal information was left in my wallet, which I unfortunately was pick pocket at a shopping mall. I am a victim of Identity Theft & XXXX Data Breach. Despite my immediate and repeated attempts to retrieve it by contacting the mall on the same day and subsequently, my wallet was never recovered from the thieves. Upon realizing this, I decided to pull my credit report because I'm in need for a car very badly, and to my dismay, I discovered unauthorized collections accounts and hard inquiries that do not belong to me. Under the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT, I have the right to request and receive validation of the debt. Additionally, I would like to emphasize the importance of upholding the credit repair law as outlined in 15 U.S. Code 1681 and FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ).
